Recently, I celebrated the spring season by hosting an Easter luncheon with some of the ladies in our family, all of whom are related in some way to my sweet grandmother, Frances Brimer. "Grandma" always loved socializing and a good party, but she especially loved her family. She would have LOVED spending the day with us at our luncheon. I thought I'd share a few photos of the food & decor to spark some EGG-cellent ideas for you to entertain this Easter.
The table was decorated with ceramic bunnies, assorted eggs, and fresh flowers, all placed upon a roll of turf purchased from our local craft & hobby store.
Each place setting was set with a bunny napkin ring made by following this post at Woman's Day. I also created place cards in Canva to coordinate and used a small piece of a branch, cut and drilled to hold a photo pic holder. My grandmother's vintage Carnivale cabbage salad plates were used, which come in six pastel colors. One of each color was used around the table.
We dined on all the girly foods...Chicken Salad, my mom's zucchini muffins, my aunt's frozen fruit salad cups, and Baby Blue Salad. You can click the title of the two salads and see the recipes that are all so delicious!
My sweet neighbor makes the most beautiful cookies, each delicately decorated in whatever my heart desired. I thought these carrot cookies were so cute...and they were delicious, too!
One other cute thing that made our front door so EGG-stra! I got this wreath at our local craft store (you can probably guess the one) and added the bunny found at Canton Trade Days, as well as an Easter vine filled with pastel colors. "She" looks so adorable on our front door as guests enter and leave.
We had such a wonderful time on what turned out to be a beautiful day. I hope these ideas spark some ways you can decorate for this egg-citing season!
Psst...If you are looking for something easy to decorate with this spring, the Spring Wool Felt Balls are so cute to hang from a mantel or drape on a wreath for your door!
